Immigration DNA Testing

A DNA test for Immigration is required for situations like passport verification, citizenship, and for immigration clearance. It is also required to prove a biological relationship between a petitioner and a beneficiary using an AABB accredited laboratory, when evidence, like a birth certificate, is deemed insufficient or inconclusive by the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) or the US Embassy.

Guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of State and AABB require that an AABB laboratory coordinate the entire DNA testing process. At Premier, we provide AABB accredited DNA testing for immigration purposes, can coordinate all DNA sample collections regardless of location, and follow the specific requirements set by government agencies in over 168 countries worldwide.

99% Accurate

Our laboratory is AABB, ACLASS, ASCLD/LAB-International, CLIA, CAP and ISO accredited. Our testing uses 17 genetic markers ensuring only the highest quality performance in DNA testing. Premier will administer the DNA test with the buccal swab (inside the cheek), a non-invasive method that is 99.99% accurate.

Fast & Convenient

Premier offers convenient solutions like mobile testing, and testing at our convenient location in Orlando, FL. Walk-ins and same-day appointments are available and most collections are completed within 15 minutes! Delivery of results may vary depending on your unique situation. Is one of the parties needing to be tested out-of-state? We will arrange an appointment at the nearest location through our network of collection sites nationwide.

Premier is dedicated to personal customer care, will accommodate your unique situation and provide you the privacy and discretion you require. Results are provided to authorized persons only and are not provided by email or phone. Our DNA specialists are bilingual in English and Spanish and will communicate with you every step of the way.

Mobile & After-Hours

Since, in most cases, the DNA sample can be collected with a simple, non-invasive swab drawn around the inside of the mouth, the procedure can be performed nearly anywhere. Our DNA collection specialists travel to you to collect your DNA sample for a small mobile fee. We are available during business hours, Monday – Friday or after hours on weekdays and weekends to accommodate your needs.

DNA tests used for immigration purposes include:

  • Paternity – DNA paternity testing determines the biological father of a child. A DNA paternity test compares a child’s DNA pattern with that of an “alleged father” to determine if there is a match.
  • Maternity – Maternity DNA testing determines whether a woman could be the biological mother of a child. Like a DNA paternity test, it compares a child’s DNA pattern with that of the alleged mother to determine how likely it is that the child has inherited the DNA from the alleged mother.
  • Siblingship – A siblingship test is a DNA test conducted to determine if two children share one or both parents (i.e., if they are half or full siblings).
  • Grandparentage – A grandparentage DNA test determines whether a couple could be the biological grandparents of a child.
  • Birth Abroad – A child born outside the United States and one or both parents are U.S. citizens, seeking to establish the child’s U.S. citizenship. In some cases, the U.S. Embassy or Consulate requests a DNA test to prove the biological relationship.

All of these tests must utilize an AABB accredited testing facility.

The Immigration DNA Testing Process

1. First, if a DNA test was recommended by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate or USCIS office processing your immigration case, a copy of the written request is the first thing we need to get started. It typically contains your file/case number, the names of the persons to be tested and the type of relationship to be tested.

2. We contact the individual(s) based in the U.S. to arrange a DNA sample collection appointment. A buccal (cheek swab) is the preferred sample for DNA testing.

3. A DNA testing kit is shipped to the requesting office in foreign country. They will arrange DNA sample collection for the beneficiaries.

4. The DNA samples are sent to and analyzed at our AABB-accredited laboratory. Every situation is unique, therefore, the time frame of when DNA samples are collected in the foreign country and sent to our laboratory may vary.

5. After testing is complete, we contact you to obtain the certified report and it is sent to the requesting immigration office.

To ensure you get the right DNA test and so that we can best meet your needs, we highly recommend you call us for your FREE consultation.
